
Dr. Darlene M. Scott, PhD, LPC, NCC is a practicing licensed psychotherapist and the Executive Clinical Director and Founder of Basic Bliss Life Coaching & Counseling, where she provides clinical leadership, supervision, and program oversight while maintaining a small clinical caseload.
Dr. Scott also serves as an adjunct faculty member teaching undergrad and graduate psychology courses. Her clinical practice focuses on helping individuals heal from personal trauma, collective trauma and subtle emotional abuse. Dr. Scott advocates holistic mental health, an approach that focuses on the mind, body and spirit connection to empower individuals to achieve overall wellness.
Dr. Scott holds a PhD in Psychology, and her professional and scholarly interests center on trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), chronic pain disorders, and holistic approaches to mental health care. Her work is grounded in health psychology, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practice.
Her doctoral research examined the relationship between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and fibromyalgia symptom severity, including the moderating role of attachment to God. This research contributes to a broader understanding of trauma-related health outcomes and integrative approaches to psychological and physical wellness.
